With the growing number of dietary restrictions and food intolerances it can be difficult to find a restaurant that offers healthy, fresh and safe menu options. We’ve compiled a “Baker’s Dozen” list of restaurants that offer organic, gluten and dairy free, vegan, grass-fed, and pesticide and soy free options.

I met Yasmine one day when I was at Mother’s Market looking for raw cream. I walked up to the refrigerated section when she was taking “what appeared to be all of the cream!” I sheepishly asked her if I could just take one, and she said “of course”. I proceeded to ask her what she needed all of that cream for. She was making a delicious raw yoghurt and that she would eventually sell in the shop she dreamed to open, and she did! Dr. Yasmine Mason created Fermentation Farm in 2014 with the vision of building a strong community of people who share a passion for handcrafted, traditional foods and drinks. Their nourishing products are made with only the best fresh ingredients. Local. Organic. Densely nutritious. Always. My personal favorites include her amazing yoghurt, fermented beets and sauueruben.

Three friends came together while on their own healing journey and started Pressed Juicery. From seasonal blends with watermelon, jicama and tart cherry to their signature blends with coconut and cinnamon, there is plenty to choose from. Besides having delicious and nutritious fresh pressed juices, they have something that sets them apart, food safety. That may not sound SEXY, but it’s really important. They take extra measures in food safety called high pressure processing for their cold-pressed products. High pressure processing is the most popular measure of food safety utilized in the cold-pressed juice industry and this process allows them to continue their mission of providing highly-nutritious products that are both safe and delicious. There have many locations in the Orange and L.A. County areas, check out the link provided to find a location nearest you. They also deliver!
Bowl of Heaven
What is an açaí bowl? At least that was my question! Let’s start with the açaí berry (pronounced ah-sigh-ee), which is grown in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. This antioxidant-rich superfruit is the base for all of the bowls at Bowl of Heaven. They mix in fresh, frozen, and exotic super-fruits and after a quick turn of the blender–BAM!–you have heaven in a bowl. No Ice. No Dairy. No processed sugars. Just nature’s best fruit topped with granola, fresh fruit, and honey. Every spoonful of this smooth, thick, fruit concoction sends your taste buds to paradise. They also offer superfood smoothies and fresh pressed juices.
